Printing variable data

• Personalization of badges, business cards, postcards, diplomas and other information and advertising materials - allows you to easily and quickly order printing using the same type of layout with variable data.
• Marking products - stickers, stickers, labels, tags, in the layout of which unique numbers, barcodes and qr codes are printed.
• Targeted mailing is widely used when sending invoices and other documentation to the customer base in automatic mode and allows you to increase the effectiveness of such mailing. Addresses, names, logos, etc. can be used for personalization. Personalized printing can be performed on invoices, contracts, envelopes, postcards.

• Text personalization is the most common type of personalized printing. It is used for targeted mailings, allowing you to achieve the effect of a personal appeal. When using detailed customer databases, it allows you to conduct effective mailing lists.
• Personalization with graphic images - graphic images and photographs are used as variable data . This technology (along with text personalization) is common when printing badges, passes.
• Personalization using barcodes is used when printing badges, flyers, club cards, passes. The barcode is then used to identify the customer or employee.

Preparing data for personalization

• variable data is provided by the customer in the form of an Excel spreadsheet. If there are no more than two variables (for example, full name and position), then the data can be provided in any text editor
• data related to one person is recorded in one line
• each separate cell contains data that differs from others in style and location in the layout (for example, the second cell contains the surname, the third contains the first and patronymic, and the fourth contains the position)
• each column should contain data of the same type for different persons (for example, in the 4th column, a position is indicated for all persons)
• to personalize graphic images (image files, photos), they should be placed in a separate folder (there should be only one folder), in an Excel spreadsheet, in a separate cell, you must specify the name of the image file that refers to the data of the current row

• as the names of the image files, use numeric numbers corresponding to the ordinal number of the row with data in the Excel table - this will simplify working with images.
• spaces at the beginning of the line and double spaces in text data look ugly when printed – do not use them;
• punctuation marks incorrectly separated by spaces (correctly: hyphen - without spaces, dash - space before and after it, other punctuation marks - space only after the punctuation mark) are very noticeable when printed and look sloppy
• Latin quotation marks ("") are incorrectly personalized, Cyrillic quotation marks ("") should be used instead
